PTT Polyethylene Company Limited (PTTPE)., a wholly owned subsidiary of PTT Chemical Public Company Limited, awards a Safety Certificate to Toyo-Thai Corporation Ltd. (Toyo-Thai) for achieving three million man-hours construction record without Lost Time Accident (LTA) for Ethane Cracker Project on May 30, 2008. The success of achievement of this safety landmark came from good collaboration between PTTPE&rsquo s project team and Toyo-Thai&rsquo s project staffs.

Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO - Japan) and Toyo-Thai Corporation Ltd. (Toyo-Thai) have respectively received the Supply Contract (offshore service contract) and the Supply and Construction Contract (onshore service contract) on a lump sum basis for the gas base ethylene plant with a capacity of 1,000,000 tons per year from PTTPE at Map Ta Phut, Rayong in Thailand on September 30, 2006. This world-biggest-scale ethylene plant based on ABB Lummus Global technology will be the largest ethylene plant in Thailand. The ethylene produced by this plant will be the feedstock of polyethylene plants of PTTPE which are concurrently under construction by Toyo-Thai.
