On December 12, 2003, THAI MMA CO., LTD., a joint venture between Cementhai Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd., awards a Contract for MMA Debottlenecking Project to TOYO-THAI CORPORATION, LTD. The contract covers the design, equipment supply and construction for expansion capacity of Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) Plant at Map Ta Phut, Rayong Province. This project is due for completion by end of 2004.

The existing MMA plant was designed and built by Toyo Engineering Corporation and Toyo-Thai Corporation Ltd. in 1997.
