 TTCL AWARDED CONTRACT FOR THE WORLD-SCALE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE PLANT

In addition to the Engineering, Procurement Service and Construction Management Contract (EPCM) for the world largest Hydrogen Peroxide (HP) Plant (330,000 tons/year) which has been awarded to Toyo-Thai Corporation Public Company Limited (TTCL) on November 7, 2008,MTP HP JV (Thailand) Limited, a joint venture between Dow Chemical Company and Solvay S.A., awards Procurement and Construction Works to TTCL for Steel Structure, Aboveground Piping, Mechanical Equipment Installation, Electrical and Instrument Works for the Hydrogen Peroxide (HP) Plant. Based on Solvay high-yield hydrogen peroxide technology, the Project will be built at Map Ta Phut, Rayong, Thailand and scheduled to be operational in 2011. As for Detailed Engineering and Procurement Service Works under EPCM Contract, as of May 2009, TTCL achieved 55% and 19% work progress respectively. Both EPCM and the above Work for Procurement and Construction Contract will generate total revenue of 1,075 million Baht. The product from this Project will serve as raw materials for the manufacture of propylene oxide, used to produce propylene glycol, polyurethanes and glycol ethers.

These contracts are awarded to TTCL based on the excellent track record that TTCL has with Solvay through VCM & Chlorine Expansion Project and PVC Expansion Project for Vinythai (where Solvay is one of the major shareholders) as well as the positive evaluation placed on TTCL technical capabilities, valued engineering and competitiveness.
