Toyo-Vietnam Corporation Limited (TVC), a subsidiary of Toyo-Thai Corporation Public Company Limited, starts the construction work for the United International Pharma Factory Project for United International Pharma Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of United Laboratories, Inc., the leading pharmaceutical company in the Philippines. The Ground Breaking Ceremony was held at the new premise in Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park II, Bin Duong Province (adjacent to the North of Hochiminh City), Vietnam on September 16, 2010. Toyo-Vietnam will provide a range of services including engineering, procurement and construction of this Project on a Lump Sum Contract basis with 12 months project schedule.

The new pharmaceutical factory is scheduled to start its commercial operation in 3rd quarter of 2011. United International Parma plans to produce various kinds of pharmaceutical products from the new plant including Uncoated Tablets, Film Coated Tablets, Hard Capsules, Powders, Granules and Oral Liquids.

This pharmaceutical plant is the third major project which Toyo-Thai /Toyo-Vietnam are jointly awarded in Vietnam this year. Other major projects are two ethanol plants which one plant belongs to Petrovietnam and the other to a Japanese investment group. Both plants have a capacity of 300,000 litres of ethanol per day and are under engineering phase with due for commercial operation in 2012.
