 TOYO-THAI PLANS TO RECRUIT 100 ENGINEERS AMID ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN

Mr. Hironobu Iriya, President & CEO of Toyo-Thai Corporation Plc. (TTCL) (seated 3rd from right), says that the Board of Directors approved its plan to employ additional 100 graduated engineers in 2009 to cope with business expansion for new overseas market in Middle East and North Africa. TTCL generated 8.7 billion Baht in revenue for the nine-month periods ended September 2008, jumps 165% from the same period last year. Total revenue in 2008 is estimated over 10 billion Baht, highest ever in 23 years since its inception. In additional, the Board also approved Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP) of 30 million shares for its management and employees.

Currently, TTCL has 5 major petrochemical projects in hands (backlog) worth 12.6 billion Baht for 2009 - 2010. With proven track record over 140 projects in Thailand and 20 overseas projects, TTCL becomes one of the international reliable integrated EPC contractors for petrochemical plants.
