 “TOYO-THAI” POSTED 2008 REVENUE HIGHEST IN 24 YEARS

Toyo-Thai Corporation Plc. (TTCL) posted better than expected revenue of Bt. 11 billion in 2008, jumps 142% from 2007. This revenue record is the highest ever in 24 years since its inception.

Mr. Hironobu Iriya, President & CEO (seated center), says " TTCL has achieved an outstanding track record. It's net sales grew from Bt. 3.3 billion in 2004 to Bt. 11 billion in 2008 and TTCL now employs 1,167 people. TTCL's 2008 revenues totaled Bt. 11 billion, a very impressive 142 percent increase over 2007 and the highest in the Company's 24-year history. Main revenue of 2008 came from five major petrochemical projects under construction at Map Ta Phut, Rayong." The outlook for this year (2009) is positive as TTCL expects to post same level of revenue with last year around Bt. 11-12 billion mainly from the backlog of above five major projects. In the first quarter of 2009, TTCL plans to bid in two major projects worth over Bt. 6 billion, one in petrochemical plant project belonged to its a former client and another one in 220 MW power plant in Malaysia jointly with Toyo Engineering of Japan, TTCL's parent company, who has good track record with this client.

As a result of its impressive performance, TTCL's Board of Directors, on February 27, 2009 approved a dividend for 2008 of Bt. 0.37 per share to shareholders having register closed on March 12, 2009. Payment will be made on April 10, 2009.
