 TOYO-THAI AWARDED CONTRACT FOR A BIOGAS PROJECT

Toyo-Thai Corporation Public Company Limited (TTCL) has received an EPC lump sum basis Contract for Biogas from Ethanol Wastewater for Electricity Generation Project, with capacity of 1.4 MW from Bio Natural Energy Company Limited. The biogas plant with total investment of 300 million Baht is to be built at Pornvilai's Ethanol Plant in Ayutthaya Province, by using technology from ADI Systems of Canada and scheduled to be completed in the 2nd Quarter of 2010. The biogas is produced from wastewater of Pornvilai's Ethanol Facility will be used as fuel for power plant which will supply power to Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) under Very Small Power Producer (VSPP) regulations. The scope of work to be undertaken by TTCL includes supplying license technology, detailed engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, and construction on a lump-sum basis (Turn-Key E.P.C.). In addition, TTCL will support Bio Natural Energy to apply application and get approval for carbon credit under United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) according to criteria for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Project.
