TOYO-THAI WON ITS FIRST PAVE IN MYANMAR ENERGY SECTOR
Company Activities
The integrated engineering firm, Toyo-Thai Corporation Public Company Limited (TTCL), is optimistic about its overseas expansion plans after the company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Electric Power No.2 of Myanmar (M.O.E.P. No.(2)) on August 10, 2012 in Naypyidaw, Myanmar. The MOU will pave the way for enhanced collaboration between both parties for developing a 100 MW power plant in Yangon as the demand for electricity in Myanmar has been increasing dramatically over the years.
The agreement was made possible through the company solid experience along with its close ties with Myanmar community in which ToyoThai-Myanmar Corporation Company Limited (TTMC) , a subsidiary of TTCL, was established last year. At present, the company is training 30 Myanmar engineersat its Bangkok head office and plans to employ 50 Myanmar engineers for preparation of future operation.
